Head of Development

A fast growing residential real estate platform in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Head of Development to lead its development strategy and delivery pipeline. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for shaping, funding, and delivering high quality residential and mixed use projects that respond to the needs of a modern, urban customer.

Reporting directly to the MD, this role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution. You will own the full development lifecycle, work closely with investors and partners, and play a defining role in scaling the platform across the Kingdom.

You will lead development activity from site acquisition through to delivery and operational handover, ensuring projects are commercially sound, well designed, and delivered efficiently.

The Head of Development will be accountable for building and managing a strong pipeline of financially viable projects. This includes leading feasibility studies, financial modelling, and investment appraisals, as well as overseeing budgets, funding structures, cost control, and value engineering. You will ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to a high design and quality standard, while navigating approvals and regulatory processes in Saudi Arabia.

Design quality and customer experience are central to this role. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and operators to ensure developments are commercially sound, operationally efficient, and aligned with market demand. From concept through to handover, you will ensure projects are ready for occupation and long‑term asset performance, with a strong focus on innovation, flexibility, and sustainability.

This role suits an experienced real estate development professional with strong commercial instincts and the confidence to operate at senior leadership level. You will bring a solid track record delivering residential, commercial, or mixed use projects, with the ability to manage multiple complex work streams in parallel. Experience in the Saudi market and an Arabic speaker are both strict requirements for this position.
