The projectJoin one of Riyadh’s most ambitious mixed-use development programmes, spanning more than 200 projects across cultural and heritage assets, hospitality, retail, commercial, and education. This is a rare opportunity to play a leading commercial role on a high-profile programme that is helping shape one of the region’s most significant destinations.
Responsibilities- Lead the commercial team in delivering programme-wide commercial management and cost reporting, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
- Develop and enhance the cost and commercial reporting framework, including requirements, reporting cadence and outputs across key control areas.
- Budget management, cost planning and benchmarking, monthly cost reporting, contract and procurement status reporting, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive and C‑suite leaders, to support successful delivery of the cost and commercial function.
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes and reporting solutions to improve commercial visibility and control, including programme cost management systems, development of cost reports and dashboards.
- Own quality assurance and control for cost and commercial information, ensuring accuracy, consistency and confidence in reporting.
- Provide commercial service to the programme with key deliverables such as commercial monthly presentations to the client’s C‑suite.
- Drive service excellence across all aspects of PMO commercial reporting.
- Lead, manage and develop the commercial team to deliver high standards of performance, providing guidance, direction and support decision‑making for their line.
- Oversee and support the development and maintenance of WBS and CBS frameworks.
- Coordinate commercial processes with larger PMO and functional leads to ensure alignment across the programme.
- Prepare clear, insightful ad hoc reporting and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with PMO functions on contractual deliverables, coordinating the commercial effort to meet client commitments.
- Provide oversight and governance across cost planning, benchmarking, cost reporting, cash‑flow reporting, procurement, contract reporting and claims reporting.
- Champion and support initiatives related to continuous improvements within cost & commercial, cross functions and programmes.
- Define focus areas and related roadmaps for commercial delivery to enhance leading practice.
- Manage the client contract and protect Mace’s commercial position by ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and supporting effective contract administration.
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Degree in a related discipline.
- Strong background in commercial management, cost consultancy or quantity surveying within complex construction or major programme environments.
- Outstanding data and reporting capability, with advanced Excel skills, confidence with large datasets, and strong Power BI and dashboard experience.
- PMO experience is essential, and prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider region is highly advantageous.
