Senior Manager - Business Development role at Majid Al Futtaim Riyadh drives the growth and expansion of the Retail Discount business across Saudi Arabia. The position identifies new store opportunities, evaluates acquisitions and partnerships, conducts feasibility studies, and leads end-to-end execution of expansion projects aligned with Vision 2030 and the group's long‑term retail strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and assess new retail discount expansion opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
- Conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and due diligence to ensure strong business cases.
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, developers, regulators, and government entities.
- Lead commercial negotiations and secure favorable contractual terms for expansion projects.
- Oversee end‑to‑end execution of business development initiatives, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are met.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and demographic insights to optimize site selection.
- Track ROI and performance of new stores, provide variance reports, and recommend improvement actions.
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Economics, or a related discipline.
- MBA or post‑graduate qualification in Strategy or Finance preferred.
- 8‑12 years of experience in business development, real estate, or retail expansion in retail or FMCG.
- 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in the Saudi market with strong knowledge of retail property development.
- Proven track record in negotiations, market analysis, and successful delivery of expansion projects.
