Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location:
RM Staffing B.V., Apeldoorn, Utrecht, Flevoland, The Netherlands.
We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the day‑to‑day administrative and operational functions of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO ensures the company executes its strategy efficiently, drives operational scalability, and maintains a high‑performance culture across all departments.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership & Management:
Oversee daily operations across critical departments (Operations, HR, IT, etc.). - Process Optimization:
Design, implement, and continuously monitor standardized procedures and workflows to maximise efficiency and productivity. - Risk Management:
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate key operational risks to ensure compliance, business continuity, and organisational stability. - Strategic Planning & Execution:
Translate the CEO’s long‑term vision into clear operational plans and departmental targets. - Performance Monitoring:
Establish, track, and analyse KPIs and metrics, reporting insights to the CEO and recommending corrective actions. - Growth & Scalability:
Lead initiatives that build infrastructure, technology, and organisational structure to support sustainable company growth. - Financial & Resource Stewardship:
Collaborate with the CFO to manage the operating budget, control expenses, identify cost‑efficiency opportunities, and allocate resources effectively. - Talent & Culture Development:
Mentor senior management, foster accountability and continuous professional development, and champion the company’s core values to enhance engagement and retention.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of progressive leadership experience, including scaling operations and managing complex cross‑departmental functions.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor senior management, lead large teams, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Expert knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and strategic planning frameworks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (Executive Leadership, Strategic Management, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) are highly beneficial.
