The Facility Manager role is an integral part of the Amazon operations and will be responsible for all facilities maintenance tasks through direct reports and via third party contractors. Position is crucial to enable our Operations team to work on our Customers experience.

• Lead, support, and mentor the facilities team, identifying barriers to ensure the team works safely, with high standards, and effectively.
• Train and develop the team to maintain expertise.
• Identify root causes of problems and provide remedies.
• Act as main deputy for the Facility Manager when unavailable.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain record‑keeping of activities performed.
• Implement Amazon standards and focus on preventive maintenance to ensure a high level of equipment availability for our internal customers.
• Manage and support the training program for the team.
• Manage local projects and support construction projects assigned by the manager.
• Work shifts to stay in touch with the team and daily operations.
• Support multi‑site production in a safe, customer‑focused manner; be highly self‑motivated and customer‑centric.
• Develop and design solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors, and be on call for emergencies.
• Handle multiple projects and daily activities, meet deadlines, and develop plans to achieve departmental and distribution goals.
• Ensure all safety programs and procedures are followed; develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Help develop, set and track budgets.
• Mentor all facilities associates, motivate, and provide direction to help them achieve goals and exceed expectations.
• Promote and conduct good housekeeping as the Facilities Area Manager.
• Develop training plans for facilities and service technicians.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot photo eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, servo drives, and frequency inverters.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships across all levels in the organization.
• Provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance.

• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Experience with computers, including MS Excel, Word and Office.

• 5+ years of team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/customer relations experience.
• Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics.
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators.
• Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems.
• Experience in project management.
