Director - Health & Safety; DEL

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Director – Health & Safety to lead and drive the health, safety and environmental HSE strategy for one of Qiddiya s largest precincts. In this leadership role you will oversee the development and execution of robust health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe working environment throughout the entire construction lifecycle.

As the Director you will collaborate closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to implement best practices and foster a culture of safety and accountability. Your expertise will be crucial in managing risk, reducing incidents and safeguarding the wellbeing of all employees and contractors.

• Lead the formulation and implementation of the health and safety strategy.
• Develop, maintain and enforce health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines tailored to large-scale construction projects.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee health and safety training initiatives and promote continuous awareness across all levels of the construction workforce.
• Ensure compliance with local, national and international health and safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with project management, contractors and external agencies to integrate health and safety considerations into all construction phases.
• Monitor health and safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for executive management.
• Advocate for a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies and regulations related to construction health and safety.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field;
  Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in health and safety management within large-scale construction programs.
• Proven track record of successfully leading HSE programs and initiatives in complex construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement effective corrective measures.
• Demonstrated experience in fostering a safety-first culture and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
