The opportunity

An opportunity has arisen to join the MENA Tax Quality team as a Manager. As a key member of a small, but highly experienced team, you will have ample opportunities to utilize and acquire a variety of skills and experiences while supporting different projects and initiatives. You will have responsibilities across a diverse quality and risk management-related project portfolio and will provide timely and practical support on diverse business matters.

You will be working closely with the entire TQ team with the General Counsel’s Office and Risk Management teams.

Your key responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to client teams in response to procedural, policy or other quality, compliance or risk-management related matters
  • Review Client and Engagement acceptance assessments and collaborate with client-serving teams towards approvals
  • Conduct periodic policy and guidance reviews and produce guidance on matters of concern
  • Create and develop processes and protocols governing quality and risk-management matters
  • Curate and deliver training to the business
  • Conduct contract reviews from a risk identification perspective and participate in related negotiation efforts
  • Lead on and manage ongoing short and long-term projects on demand
  • Support change management initiatives and lead constituents through significant change
  • Regularly pursue efficiencies in process design or re-design whilst leveraging technology and AI
  • Develop and maintain productive and working relationships with variety of internal stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success
  • University degree and/or professional qualifications in Legal and Risk Management-related disciplines
  • 7+ years prior and related work experience preferably in Quality, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management or Internal Audit functions
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
  • IT literate, savvy in working with technology in general, ability to promptly learn to work with new systems and tools, detect issues and able to initiate their resolution
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to make sound observations and recommendations
  • An eye for detail and oriented towards continuous improvement and risk management in an enabling manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to effectively partner and collaborate with other functions on various initiatives
  • Able to balance the need to be approachable and supportive with the requirement to be resolute and resilient in challenging situations
  • High degree of flexibility, professionalism and integrity
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results, solution oriented, and an ability to lead colleagues through and manage complex and high-risk situations.
Ideally, you’d also have
  • A good command of Arabic (written and spoken)
  • Experience working with Power BI or other analytics platforms
  • Ability to be future-focused and able to consider and adapt to new and developing areas of the business.
