Audit & Assurance Manager​/Sr. Manager

To manage the Firm’s Audit clients in accordance with the guidelines set out by the firm and ensure that work done is in accordance with the BDO Audit Methodology.

We are currently recruiting an Audit and Assurance Manager/senior Manager, who is a forward thinking, ambitious and a highly motivated professional with a proven track record of high quality delivery of client projects, a strong technical knowledge and a commercially rounded mindset, and an ability to work in a demanding project and transaction environment.

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management and assess client’s satisfaction
• Generate new business opportunities and proactively identify opportunities
• Delegate effectively and monitor progress to ensure expectations are met
• Foster effective teamwork and empower staff to allow them to achieve engagement and personal performance objectives
• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide them with counselling and career advice
• Understand the Firm’s service lines and actively assess/present ways to apply knowledge and services
• Take ownership for the work of the team
• Manage, motivate and provide guidance to staff
• Monitor team’s work to ensure it is consistent with the firm’s quality standards and audit approach
• Ensure team compliance with the Firm’s risk management policies and procedures
• Responsible to the audit engagement partner on all major matters concerning the client audit

• The ability to demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and strong team leadership skills
• Ambition, drive, energy and creativity with the ability to work with multi‑cultural and multi‑disciplinary teams
• A proven record of business development and cross selling of services to clients
• The ability to manage a large portfolio of audit clients ranging from small to large businesses and manage the entire audit cycle relating to these clients within tight deadlines
• A strong and current knowledge of IFRS and ISA
• Financial services experience is highly desirable
• The ability to perform other (non‑audit) assignments as and when required
• Overseas working experience is an advantage and previous work experience in the Middle East would be considered an advantage
• The ability to train and lead audit staff and provide staff with mentoring and career development advice
• Represent the Firm in a professional manner at all times through punctuality, appearance and presentation

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CPA, JCPA, ESAA or ACCA)
• Minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree
• Large Audit and consulting firms experience
• Minimum of 8 years work experience of which 2 years should be in a managerial role
