Role Summary
Lead all commercial, contractual, and cost management activities for general contracting projects in Saudi Arabia. Ensure contract compliance, cost control, and risk mitigation to maximize profitability while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and negotiate EPC and subcontract agreements. Maintain complete and auditable contract documentation.
Develop and monitor project budgets from estimation to final account. Review cost variances, payment certificates, and procurement expenses. Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts for management.
Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation plans. Ensure full compliance with Saudi laws (ZATCA, Labor Law, Company Law) and corporate policies. Oversee client payment applications and cash flow management.
Lead and develop the project commercial team (Q.S., estimators, procurement staff). Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, and government authorities on commercial matters. Present commercial reports and risk analysis to senior management.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. RICS, CIOB, or equivalent certification preferred.
10+ years in commercial/contracts management, with 5+ years in a similar role on overseas EPC projects. Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is mandatory. Familiarity with Saudi Aramco or RC project systems is a strong plus.
Skills:
Expert in FIDIC contract administration and claims handling. Proficient in cost software (CostX, Glodon, SAP) and advanced Excel. Basic knowledge of Saudi contract and tax regulations.
Strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills. Proven commercial negotiation ability.
Fluent English (business negotiation level)
