We are seeking an accomplished QHSE Director to lead the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy across a portfolio of construction, infrastructure, and landscape projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving a culture of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement while ensuring the highest standards of quality and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the company's QHSE strategy, policies, standards, and management systems.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Lead the Quality, HSE, and Environmental teams across multiple project sites and business units.
- Establish and monitor company-wide QHSE objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through leadership, coaching, awareness programs, and employee engagement.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet contractual and technical requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal audits, site inspections, management reviews, and compliance assessments.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure effective emergency preparedness and response plans are in place across all operations.
- Review and approve project-specific quality plans, HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, regulatory authorities, and certification bodies.
- Prepare executive-level reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, operational efficiency, sustainability, and overall business performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive QHSE experience within the construction, infrastructure, or engineering industry.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi-site QHSE operations.
- Strong knowledge of international management systems, Saudi regulations, and construction industry best practices.
- Proven experience leading audits, certification processes, and major client compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence organizational culture and drive continuous improvement across multiple business functions.
