TheOpportunity
As a Director you will build valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and develop a portfolio of projects by focusing on high‑value opportunities. You will lead presentations and proposals for complex projects or elements of highly complex projects and provide subject‑matter insight to bids and proposals. Drawing on your skills and experience, you will create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational teams and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team and provide strategic sourcing services related to regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance (FCC), corporate governance, fraud risk assessments, enterprise risk management, and internal controls to clients.
- Assist organizations to maintain effective and efficient controls to manage organizational and strategic risks.
- Manage multiple client engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm, working with high‑level client personnel to address compliance, financial, and operational risks.
- Perform internal control testing, develop internal audit plans, and provide internal audit services on an outsourcing basis.
- Assess the client’s current state internal controls and SOX framework to mitigate risk and provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Create plans to accomplish engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards, advising clients to understand and manage business risks and verify the validity of their business information.
- Brief the engagement team on the client’s IA environment and industry IA trends, maintaining relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
- Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in the Forensics domain coupled with a background in internal audit, risk advisory, financial crime compliance, and risk assessment with a consulting firm.
- Strong understanding of expectations of regulators and international organisations such as FATF.
- Knowledge of the global risk and regulatory environment, especially developments in the FCC space.
- Graduate degree in law, finance or commerce (preferred); post‑graduate qualifications in AML/CFT, commerce.
- Industry related certification (e.g., CAMS or ICA diploma in AML).
- Working experience in the MENA region.
- Experience with the design, development and implementation of internal controls for financial services business processes, especially in FCC framework and strategy.
