The Development Manager will lead and manage the end-to-end development process of hospitality, mixed-use, residential, and other asset classes, from project inception through design development, approvals, procurement, construction, handover, and asset activation. The role requires extensive expertise in project feasibility, stakeholder management, design coordination, budgeting, and project delivery to ensure successful project outcomes in line with business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 12–15 years' experience in hospitality development, construction, or project management
  • Demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of hotel and hospitality projects
  • Proven experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept development to operational handover
  • Previous experience with luxury hotels, branded residences, or integrated hospitality developments
  • Experience coordinating with internationally recognised hospitality operators and brands
  • GCC experience is mandatory
  • Previous experience in Saudi Arabia is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities Development Management
  • Lead and manage hospitality and mixed-use development projects from inception through completion
  • Conduct feasibility studies, development appraisals, project planning, and business case evaluations
  • Develop project execution strategies, development programmes, budgets, and delivery plans
  • Support investment evaluations and development opportunities in line with company objectives
  • Monitor project performance against approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards
Design Management
  • Manage and coordinate architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape consultants, and specialist consultants
  • Review and oversee concept, schematic, detailed design, and tender documentation
  • Ensure project designs align with company requirements, operator standards, and guest experience objectives
  • Coordinate design reviews and value engineering exercises to maximise project efficiency without compromising quality
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and authority requirement
Hospitality Project Delivery
  • Lead project delivery activities from design development through construction and handover
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, operators, and consultants throughout project execution
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover processes.
  • Ensure operational readiness requirements are incorporated into project planning and execution
  • Act as the primary liaison with hotel operators and hospitality brands
  • Manage operator design review processes and technical service requirements
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and operator specifications
  • Coordinate operator approvals throughout the design and construction phases
Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, operators, government authorities, and internal stakeholders
  • Present project updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project participants
Commercial & Contract Management
  • Support procurement strategies and consultant/contractor appointments
  • Review commercial proposals, variations, and change requests
  • Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimiation
  • Assist with contract administration and project governance activities
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and regulatory obligations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting systems, and governance controls
