Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contracts Lead to join our team!
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure all contracts are aligned with company policies, project requirements, and legal regulations.
- Maintain an organized contract repository and track key milestones, obligations, and deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across projects.
- Advise project teams on contract terms, liability, claims, and change management.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex contractual disputes or claims resolution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contract-related issues with project teams.
- Review project documentation to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Support project managers in claim submissions, variation orders, and contractual correspondence.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Prepare and present commercial reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management.
- Support negotiations and dispute resolution, ensuring outcomes are commercially favorable.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Monitor contractual obligations, deadlines, and performance metrics.
- Implement best practices in contract management and continuous improvement processes.
- Mentor and guide junior contracts and commercial staff.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment within the contracts function.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPCM, CCM, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, preferably in infrastructure, civil engineering, or airport projects.
- Proven expertise in contract negotiation, administration, and risk management.
- Experience managing large-scale projects and interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience with international contracts and FIDIC or NEC contract forms.
- Knowledge of airport or aviation project procurement, operations, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value contracts simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on commercial outcomes and risk mitigation.
- Experience in dispute resolution and claims management.
