We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Senior Vice President – Malls to lead the overall performance, growth, and transformation of a diversified shopping mall portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the long-term business strategy, maximizing asset value, driving commercial performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring operational excellence.
This executive role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in shopping mall management, commercial real estate, leasing, operations, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the malls portfolio in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Lead the operational, commercial, financial, leasing, marketing, and customer experience functions across multiple mall assets.
- Drive revenue growth by optimizing occupancy levels, tenant mix, leasing performance, and commercial initiatives.
- Maximize asset value through strategic planning, redevelopment opportunities, and continuous performance improvement.
- Oversee annual budgeting, financial forecasting, P&L performance, CAPEX, and operational expenditures.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure operational excellence and sustainable business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with anchor tenants, retailers, investors, government entities, and strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, governance standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, innovation, and technology adoption across mall operations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on expansion strategies, acquisitions, and new development opportunities.
- Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring executive leaders and developing organizational capabilities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance customer experience, footfall, tenant satisfaction, and overall profitability.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Professional certifications in Real Estate, Asset Management, Shopping Center Management, or Leadership are considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience within the shopping mall, commercial real estate, or mixed-use development sectors.
- At least 8 years in an executive leadership position managing multi-site operations or large commercial real estate portfolios.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale retail assets and delivering measurable financial and operational improvements.
- Strong background in leasing strategy, asset management, retail operations, customer experience, and business development.
