Project Director – Metro Station – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This senior leadership role is responsible for the full lifecycle of a major metro station project from planning through delivery, testing, commissioning and handover. Core responsibilities include construction, project controls, stakeholder coordination, commercial governance, rail systems interfaces, safety, quality and client‑facing delivery across complex transportation infrastructure programmes. Salary: 65,000–85,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall planning, execution, monitoring, control and delivery of the project from mobilization to final handover.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams covering technical delivery, construction management, commercial control, project controls, safety, quality, stakeholder coordination, interfaces, administration and reporting.
  • Act as the senior Parsons representative for the client, government agencies, regulatory authorities, operators, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and key project stakeholders.
  • Oversee development and implementation of project execution plans, baseline schedules, budgets, risk registers, quality plans, safety plans and interface plans.
  • Coordinate architectural, civil, structural, MEP, rail systems, passenger facilities, public realm, finishes, testing and commissioning activities, and operational readiness.
  • Monitor project performance against milestones, cost targets, contractual requirements, quality expectations, risk controls and client deliverables.
  • Provide timely reporting to senior management and the client on progress, constraints, risks, decisions, commercial matters and recovery actions.
  • Lead resolution of project delays, technical issues, cost impacts, scope changes, interface conflicts, claims, contractual matters and stakeholder concerns.
  • Drive change management by reviewing, negotiating, tracking and closing change orders in line with contract requirements and commercial governance.
  • Mobilize and manage project resources to ensure the right leadership, technical capability and site coverage.
  • Promote technical excellence, safety leadership, commercial awareness, documentation discipline and quality performance across all teams.
  • Ensure project teams maintain full control of design coordination, construction sequencing, station interfaces, system integration and closeout requirements.
  • Support client relationship management through proactive communication, issue resolution and transparency.
  • Collaborate with business development and senior leadership to identify opportunities for additional services, client account growth and future work.
  • Lead regular project reviews, executive briefings, coordination meetings, risk workshops and performance reviews.
  • Maintain strong governance over project delivery processes, contract administration, safety compliance and final acceptance readiness.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 20 years of related professional experience in major infrastructure, transportation, rail, metro or complex construction programmes.
  • Proven record of leading large‑scale metro station or rail infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in project management, construction management, project controls, commercial management, stakeholder and interface management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, schedules, contracts, risks, change orders, deliverables, approvals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience leading senior project personnel and large delivery teams in demanding client‑facing environments.
  • Deep knowledge of architectural coordination, station planning, finishes, passenger facilities, MEP systems, rail system interfaces, testing, commissioning and handover.
  • Ability to work effectively with government agencies, regulatory bodies, operators, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and senior client representatives.
  • Strong understanding of industry practices, project delivery processes, construction standards, safety requirements, quality systems and contract administration.
