Job Description
Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Commercial Director to join our site-based construction supervision and project management team on a major public realm development in Diriyah, which includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The objective of this program is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well-being.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as company and project needs arise. Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees. Collaborates with commercial team, project management, project controls management to ensure proper support contract negotiations and administration.
- Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to company policy.
- Negotiates the more difficult, or complex, contractual issues.
- Interact act with different departments within the SAPL, with client and others to enable proper execution of services.
- Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quantity surveying, construction contracts or related field.
- 20+ years of experience is required.
- Strong experience with FIDIC or similar forms of contract, including claims, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Proven track record in cost management, contract administration, and commercial leadership on large-scale, multi-package projects.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to develop and defend well‑reasoned commercial positions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing multi‑cultural commercial/QS teams.
- Ability to perform in a management capacity is also required.
