Facilities Director

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Management Director to lead the operation, maintenance, and strategic management of our facilities, ensuring high service standards, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and cost‑effective delivery across multiple locations. The role will be responsible for developing facilities strategies, overseeing maintenance programs, managing service providers and contractors, optimizing resources, and ensuring that all facilities operate in line with business needs, regulatory requirements, and company standards.

• Develop and implement facilities management strategies, operating plans, and maintenance programs to improve facility performance and reliability.
• Provide strategic leadership to the facilities management team and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Oversee planning, resource allocation, and execution of all facilities management activities across multiple sites.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure business continuity and extend the lifecycle of facility assets.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand facility requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Monitor facilities performance, service quality, and operational KPIs, identifying improvement areas and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, building codes, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective service delivery.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts and service‑level agreements with external providers.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead energy management and sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and optimize operating costs.
• Stay updated on facilities management trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on facilities operations, performance, risks, and key initiatives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, safety, and collaboration within the facilities team.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of senior‑level experience in facilities management, preferably overseeing multiple facilities or large‑scale operations.
• Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, maintenance operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, service‑level agreements, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and cost‑control capabilities.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, preventive maintenance systems, and facilities management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Project management experience is an advantage.
