About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a pre-contract bias, to support our exciting growth plans, working with our key clients. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of the design projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets. The Senior Project Manager will act as a bridge between creative teams and stakeholders, managing resources, schedules, and deliverables.

The Project Manager will be joining an established team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and growth. The Senior Project Manager will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value-driven service for large, high-profile and exciting key clients.

The responsibilities include defining project timelines and activities in collaboration with stakeholders, resolving changes in scope, issues and risks that impact project implementation, assigning talent and resources to projects, and guiding and coaching staff. The role requires excellent collaborative, time management and multi-tasking skills. This individual should also be familiar with quality assurance practices to ensure products possess maximum functionality.

The role will cover all aspects of project management throughout the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion.

Duties include (not limited to):

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    Defining and clarifying the project scope, setting timelines, and establishing budgets. Facilitate meetings and presentations with clients and team members. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Team Leadership:

    Managing and motivating design teams, assigning tasks, and providing guidance.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    Keeping stakeholders informed on project progress, managing expectations, and addressing concerns.
  • Resource Management:

    Coordinate project schedules, resources, and budgets for design initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Quality Assurance:

    Overseeing the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet standards.
  • Risk Management:

    Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Budget Management:

    Tracking project expenses and ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organization, collaborative teams is preferred.
  • Implement strategies to manage and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare detailed cost forecasts and budget reports, analyzing variances and identifying trends to support financial decision-making.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, addressing any issues that could lead to budget overruns.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between design teams, marketing, product development, and external agencies to streamline workflows and resolve potential roadblocks.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using project management software to track progress effectively.
  • Manage scope changes and potential risks throughout the design project lifecycle, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming activities.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements for future design initiatives and team efficiency.
What do we need from you
  • Minimum 10years of experience in project management within design consultancy, architecture, or engineering environments
