The Senior Commercial Operations Leader plays a key role in supporting the sales organization to achieve its business objectives while ensuring strong compliance with internal processes and policies. This role leads and influences commercial operations, drives effective business operating guidelines, and helps identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks. With a high level of autonomy, the position requires strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to execute commercial arrangements that support business growth and operational excellence.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
Drive commercial operations and terms and conditions negotiations for the PT MEA region across sales force effectiveness, sales support, and operational alignment with business goals.
Lead / oversee contract negotiations / closure while adhering by risk assessment / Grid internal policies.
Implement efficient resource allocation of Commercial Operation resources strategies, and quota planning to support commercial growth.
Drive deal desk reviews with the support of the different regional and global functions.
Ensure effective deployment and compliance with Delegation of Authority (DOA) policies and commercial risk controls.
Build and scale commercial capabilities through training, process standardization, and digital enablement.
Partner with global and regional sales, finance, legal , tax and insurance teams to align on best practices and drive deals.
Influence internal stakeholders to drive adoption of policies, commercial best practices and change initiatives.
Manage a regional team of commercial professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or related area from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Terms and Conditions negotiations / redlining in Commercial Operations, Contract Management, Risk Mitigation and/or project management role preferably with experience leading people.
Desired CharacteristicsArabic languages is an advantage
Strong oral and written communication & presentation skills
Knowledge of electrical transmission or power projects
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with Lean Adaptability
Self-sufficiency & Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams.
Experience in developing complex proposals or structuring complex deals.
In-depth knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, risk management; experience in structuring and negotiating contracts to minimize business risk.
Ability to think strategically and be operationally rigorous.
Familiarity with the use and function of CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) – Salesforce
Independence in achieving commercial objectives within operating budgets and operating guidelines.
