- Accountable for leading and delivering risk management performance across assigned commissions, including development and implementation of effective risk frameworks and strategies.
- Directs clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all risk-related matters while building strong professional relationships and meeting client expectations.
- Provides expert guidance on risk processes, ensuring effective identification, assessment, escalation, and management of risks impacting key project objectives.
- Facilitates and leads risk workshops, working with project managers to identify opportunities, mitigation strategies, and minimise overall risk exposure.
- Ensures risk mitigation plans are developed, ownership is assigned, and actions are tracked and integrated into project plans.
- Leads the delivery of quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule, including assessment of contingency adequacy within regular reporting cycles.
- Produces and presents comprehensive risk reports to both clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Manages and mentors team members, supports resource planning and recruitment, integrates risk with planning and PMO functions, and promotes sustainability objectives including carbon reduction.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
- Proven experience delivering major rail or infrastructure programmes in complex, fast-paced environments, together with a collaborative approach and commitment to excellence.
