Labour and Delivery (L&D)
Patient Population:
Obstetric patients with more than and equal to 20 weeks of gestational age for low and high risk pregnancy

- Assessment Room - 7
- Delivery Rooms - 11
- Neonatal resuscitation bay - 3
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
- Labor and delivery for Low risk term pregnancy
- High risk pregnancy (term and preterm)
- Pregnancy with comorbidity
- Fetal monitoring (external /internal/ doppler)
- Cardiotocograph (CTG) surveillance through centricity perinatal network (CPN)
- Induction / augmentation of labour
- Care of patient with tocolytic agent
- Amniotomy / artificial rupture of membrane
- Care of patient with epidural analgesia
- Assisting with/perform spontaneous vaginal delivery
- Assisting with instrumental vaginal delivery
- Assisting with vaginal breech delivery
- Pre-operative care for emergency cesarean section
- Assist with/ perform repair of vaginal laceration/episiotomy
- Initial care of newborn
- Assist and support breastfeeding
