SummaryWithin the mission, vision, and values of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, the Surgical / Operating Room Director Clinical Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for perioperative nursing services.
You will oversee clinical practice standards, workforce planning, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives across surgical services. You will function within a collaborative leadership structure with executive medical and administrative partners.
Education / QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
- Experience from North America, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand is required
- Minimum 10 years clinical nursing experience
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Surgical / Operating Room services
Current and in good Standing Nursing License/Registration (RN) to practice in country of residence
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership for Surgical and Operating Room nursing services
- Oversee clinical governance, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives
- Lead workforce planning, staffing models, and professional development programs
- Collaborate with surgical leadership to optimize patient flow and perioperative efficiency
- Drive implementation of evidence-based perioperative nursing practices
- Develop, review, and implement clinical policies, procedures, and standards
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and lead quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and accreditation standards
- Manage operational budgets and resource utilization within surgical services
- Support research, innovation, and clinical education initiatives
- Mentor and develop nurse leaders and emerging clinical talent
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across surgical and hospital services
- Promote patient-centered care, safety culture, and service excellence
- Represent nursing leadership in executive committees and organizational forums
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards
- Perform other leadership duties as assigned
