Registered Nurse

Job Purpose

Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care that transforms lives through excellent evidence-based practices to patients in a clinical setting. The role includes assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. The Registered Nurse works closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' health, including physical examinations, taking vital signs, and monitoring symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans based on patient assessments and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for signs of infection.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Observe and record patients' conditions, including changes in symptoms or behaviors, and report any significant changes to the medical team.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
• Conduct purposeful rounding for patients to ensure their needs are met, prevent complications, and improve overall care quality.
• Adhere to strict infection control standards, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, proper handling of hazardous materials, and infection control surveillance and reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient items and equipment as per Fakeeh Care policies.
• Follow established protocols for emergencies (e.g., codes and Rapid Response Team).
• Innovate in patient care and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient care records, including observations, interventions, and responses.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuous and integrated patient care.

• Provide emotional support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and offering reassurance during stressful times.
• Advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring their rights are respected and voices heard.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with medical practices and advancements.
• Respect diverse cultural backgrounds and incorporate patient values and beliefs into care planning.
• Oversee the work of junior staff and nursing students, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
• Identify and address issues or challenges in patient care and contribute to solutions and practice improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing manager within the scope of the job.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information accessed or encountered during work.

• Adhere to and uphold Fakeeh Care's code of conduct, policies, and ethical standards.
• Complete mandatory education as per requirement at least one month prior to expiration.

• Excellent interpersonal and service-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage work pressure and teamwork skills.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, typing, and more).
• Clerical skills (preparing agenda and taking minutes of meetings, scanning documents, and more).

Minimum of one year of clinical experience. RN residents (staff with less than one year of experience) will go through the RN residency program (Fakeeh Graduate).

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.

Excellent command of the English language;
Arabic is a plus.

License from the country of origin, license for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS / DHA), BLS, ACLS, and other LSTC courses as applicable.
