Description The Adult Cardiology Ward is a dedicated unit providing advanced care for adult cardiac patients with a wide range of conditions.
Capacity & Layout- Beds: 17 total beds - 14 single rooms + 3 medical protocol suites
- Monitoring: 24/7 cardiac telemetry access
- Operates 24/7 with a full team:
Nurse Manager, Clinical Resource Nurse, Nurse Coordinator, Staff Nurses I & II, and Patient Care Technicians - Achieves 98% occupancy, reflecting high patient demand
- Acute Coronary Syndrome
- Heart Failure (non- mechanical ventilation)
- Post-Cardiac Arrest monitoring (no ventilation)
- Valvular, aortic, pericardial, and congenital cardiac diseases
- Cardiac rhythm disorders requiring telemetry or device insertion (TPM/PPM/AIC)
- NSTEMI (± pulmonary oedema)
- Pre-and post-PCI patients with sheath management
- Anticoagulation for arrhythmias and prosthetic valves
- Infective endocarditis
