RN - Recovery Room​/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit; PACU

Main Hospital:

The PACU at the main hospital has 38 beds and provides advanced nursing care to adult and pediatric patients who are in the immediate postoperative period or those who require minor surgical procedures. Critically ill post-operative patients will be cared for in the PACU on an emergent and temporary basis only.

In Fall 2017, the new 23 floor King Abdullah Centre for Cancer and Liver Diseases (KACCLD) opened to patients. The KACCLD, attached to the main hospital, has its own PACU.

• Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must have a minimum of two years experience
• Applicants with an Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing must have a minimum of four years experience
• Current nursing (RN) license in:
  Canada, the United States, the UK, Ireland, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand
• Must have a minimum of two years current experience in PACU at a large tertiary-care hospital.
• Must be fluent in Arabic
