Purpose of Position
  • To assist with the selling of complex scientific and technological products or services. The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include maintaining extensive knowledge of the products' parts, functions, and processes and assisting to close sales where technical expertise may be required to fit the clients' needs.
  • The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.
Major Responsibilities
  • Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of BNI services.
  • Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.
  • To action the preparation of proposals for a range of be spoke products by coordinating the activities of the BV, Sales.
  • To support  to respond to customer questions & requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To review and action the customers enquiry process into a costed workable solution.
  • To work with the Business Developer or customer prospect to ascertain the enquiry information necessary to produce sales proposals including technical product selection, quotation document and costing through standardized costing templates and technical specifications.
  • Elaborating yearly/quarterly sales plan in agreement with superior for his team.
  • Defining sales targets within the BL action plan.
  • Analysis monthly results and initiate actions to CTC Ops. Manager.
  • Carry out marketing & sales performance (realized days, reporting, services, productivity ratio. Etc.)
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up-to date on industry news.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and developed communications skills to interact with colleagues and clients.
  • Uses highly developed report writing skills, paying attention to detail in order to produce a written report of high quality.
  • Responsibilities and duties provide technical plus application information support to sales force as well as customers.
  • Prepare instructional, descriptive and application literature for existing and new products along with competitive products periodic reports.
  • Maintain pricing information on choice products.
  • Elaborate monthly reports to forward to BL Manager as per pre-defined template.
  • Elaborate reports upon site visits.
  • Always observes the QHSSE policies and procedures.
  • Comply with the ethical policies and code of ethics.
  • Carry out additional duties as allocated by the project director (Client).
Qualification And Experience
  • Graduate with minimum 5 years of sales experience; BA in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical would be an advantage.
  • Should have experience of sales in core sectors such as Oil & Gas/Power, Chinese market within Saudi Arabia.
Skills & Qualities
  • Good communication and business acumen.
  • Should be a role model, must comply with rules & regulation himself, wear PPE while performing inspections and attend safety orientations at the projects where he is working.
  • Maintaining positive health culture among his project fellows and team.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (Chinese Language) and English.
