Diffuser Perfume Specialist

A Diffuser Perfume Specialist (often titled Scent Specialist, or Scent Bar Specialist) is responsible for creating, recommending, and selling, or maintaining fragrance diffusion products such as reed diffusers, electric scent diffusers, essential oil blends, and candles

• Product Knowledge & Expertise: Demonstrate deep knowledge of the brand’s fragrance, including the inspiration, ingredients, and intensity of different oils.
• Lead product and fragrance development for assigned brand category
• Perfumer with an aptitude for the creation and matching of fragrances across categories. Well-versed in the cross-category beauty market, current and future olfactory trends
• Create matching blends, and compounds as per customer and management requirements.
• Odour evaluation of aroma chemicals and essential oils and other perfumery raw materials
• Diffusion Technology & Maintenance: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot professional scent diffusers
• Customization & Blending: In specialized, hands‑on roles, create custom fragrance blends, or hand‑pour candles and reed diffusers.
• Merchandising & Inventory: Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing display of perfume products.

• Keen Sense of Smell: Ability to distinguish subtle differences in scents and identify various fragrance families (e.g., floral, woody, citrus).
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of how different diffusers work (heating vs. evaporation) and the chemical properties of essential oils.

  Previous experience in luxury retail, beauty, or fragrance is highly desirable.
