Job Overview
This position is responsible for attending to the customer’s parts needs, uses parts catalogues and other parts publications to identify correct part numbers, issues proper and accurate sales invoices and ensures full customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities- Attends to customers’ needs of parts on the counter.
- Promotes parts sales.
- Prepares cash and credit invoices and forwards to warehouse staff.
- Uses parts catalogues and other publications to identify correct part numbers.
- Ensures customers sign all credit invoices; attaches related purchase orders and forwards to accounts.
- Ensures that all non-available parts for customers are back ordered and advises customers on receipt of shipments.
- Prepares parts quotations on request and follows-up with customers.
- Prepares recommended parts lists for customers who buy machines.
- Responds to all inquiries on telephone courteously and cautiously.
- Maintains up-to-date records of all parts modifications, catalogues, microfiches library and stocked parts price list (BINS LOCATOR).
- Assists in binning parts.
- Assembles Hydraulic Hoses.
- Assists in conducting perpetual inventory count.
- Performs any other related tasks as may be required.
- Ensure effective communication within the department and other departments.
- Maintains effective communication with customers.
Ensure all departmental activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant standing instructions and other company policies.
QHSE policy & procedures- Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance to HSE policy to maintain a hazard and incident free environment.
- Promote awareness of the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with the work.
- Diploma or high school in a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in parts sales and operation.
- Must have general knowledge of the functions and technique of selling.
- Thorough knowledge of products and knowledge of our parts computerized system.
- Ability to work under pressure and to organize daily work activities.
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to identify requested parts from manufacturer.
