Role Summary
The Manager, Sales is a management role, responsible for managing a team of sales specialists and client managers in order to assist in the achievement of sales targets through territory and target allocation. This role combines management, selling, coaching and leadership activities to enable the sales team to meet their assigned targets.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure local and global strategic sales objectives and targets are met.
- Assist the sales team in defining market approach and achieving set targets.
- Ensure that sales procedures and policies defined by sales leadership are implemented and followed.
- Provide input into the development of tactical strategy and execute supporting operational strategy.
- Align the team to the client segmentation strategy, ensuring the right resources are allocated to the right type of client.
- Coordinate sales team activities, set and measure performance targets, allocate accounts, enforce client account plans, call planning and opportunity qualification.
- Manage pipeline and forecast accurately.
- Support the team by attending key client meetings and articulating company value through services and solutions.
- Own efficiency levels, streamline procedures to deliver customer excellence.
- Mentor, coach and advise the sales force to set and keep priority activities.
- Utilize sales tools and methodologies to manage account opportunities, pipelines and forecasting, ensuring tool utility training.
- Plan and organize multiple work outputs by assigning priorities and reviewing objectives and goals.
- Sales business acumen – planning, leveraging tools and data, and focusing on business outcomes.
- Sales client engagement and management – effectively manage and analyze client lifecycle to improve relationships and drive growth.
- Sales solution skills – knowledge of company offerings and ability to apply to client and prospect situations.
- Sales resources optimization – build internal relationships and leverage vendors.
- Sales pursuit – create success by identifying and advancing opportunities at assigned prospects and clients.
- Sales strategy execution – align sales strategy with business strategy.
- Sales business management – ensure target setting and processes align to meeting targets.
- Sales talent management and enablement – ensure results through effective talent management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing or a related field.
- Advanced experience in a sales management role, preferably in a global technology services organization.
- Advanced sales work experience in a similar environment.
- Advanced sales planning and operational execution experience.
- Advanced track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business outcomes.
- Advanced experience negotiating on extremely critical matters.
- Advanced go‑to‑market planning and execution experience.
