To drive sales growth by promoting and selling wood products and solutions, building strong client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities within the construction and industrial sectors.
Duties & Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities in wood products (timber, plywood, MDF, etc.)
- Promote company products to contractors, carpenters, developers, and clients
- Prepare and present commercial offers and quotations
- Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs
- Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline
- Conduct client meetings and site visits to support deal closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable wood solutions
- Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and orders
- Provide product knowledge and guidance on wood materials and applications
- Advise clients on suitable materials based on project requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activities
- Identify new market opportunities and customer segments
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
- Ensure compliance with company pricing policies and approval processes
- Support contract discussions and negotiations
- Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain for stock availability
- Monitor inventory movement and align with sales demand
- 2-5 years of experience in wood sales, building materials, or related field
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Experience in handling quotations, orders, and customer accounts
- Good understanding of the local market and customer base
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field relevant to sales and construction materials
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- Knowledge of wood products (timber, MDF, plywood, laminates, etc.)
- Understanding of wood applications in construction and furniture
- Ability to prepare quotations and pricing
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP / CRM systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills
