Accounts & Merchant Success Manager Job Description

This role combines strategic account management with direct field sales and telesales team supervision — a ‘joker’ role critical in marketing agencies. Serves as the single point of contact between clients and all company departments, responsible for growing the business portfolio, ensuring strategic client satisfaction, and achieving sales targets across field and telesales channels.

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts and build trusted, long-term executive-level relationships
  • Execute scheduled field visits to key clients for follow-up, presentations, and deal advancement
  • Deliver professional presentations of company services in field and virtual client meetings
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and lead commercial negotiations through to deal closure
  • Coordinate project delivery with all internal departments to ensure agreed timelines are met
  • Monitor client satisfaction KPIs and proactively handle escalations and complaints
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client portfolio
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly account performance reports to the General Manager
  • Oversee field visits for large clients and track new business opportunities
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in account management or field sales in a B2B environment
  • Valid driving license and personal vehicle (mandatory for field visits)
  • Proficient in creating and delivering professional presentations (PowerPoint, Google Slides)
  • Advanced Excel skills: dashboards, KPI tracking, sales data analysis
  • CRM experience:
    Hub Spot, Salesforce, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in AI tools:
    ChatGPT for proposals and responses, data analysis tools
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence C-level decision-makers
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team
  • Willingness for continuous field travel with flexible working hours
  • Comprehensive understanding of the company's full suite of marketing services
  • Skilled in preparing periodic performance reports and analyzing sales metrics
