Job Overview

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Sales Department, the Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for comprehensive and complete coverage of the own sales portfolio, covering all levels of accounts and all revenue streams within the account for comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity. The role involves managing activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long‑term, value‑based customer relationships to enable the achievement of property sales objectives and personal booking goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, develop and manage local corporate business and government accounts according to the set business mix strategy.
  • Ensure maximum acceptance in RFPs.
  • Acquire, develop and manage business travel agent accounts (BTA) according to the set business mix strategy.
  • Constantly monitor the market and the competition and report on threats and opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on segment and account production and propose tactics and strategies to improve revenue or avoid shortfalls.
  • Implement and execute all sales objectives and action plans to reach and exceed targets set.
  • Quote and negotiate prices with customers for transient, long‑stay and group business with established parameters.
  • Establish and maintain files of major accounts and ensure maintenance of the accounts in the management system.
  • Understand the overall market, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and know how to sell against them.
  • Ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximize upselling opportunities whenever possible.
  • Gain an understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns to offer a better business solution.
  • Cross‑sell brand across the MOHG portfolio through the Mobilize program.
  • Support customer loyalty and the property’s brand standards by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
  • Serve customers in order to grow share of the account.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, guests and team members to fully understand their needs and work to serve them effectively.
  • Set a positive example for the sales, reservations and conference sales teams.
  • Handle guest complaints and disputes.

The Corporate Sales Manager is expected to achieve financial targets and monitor the team’s sales objectives. The manager must ensure the team understands and achieves all KPIs related to the department and attend trade shows and fairs ensuring coverage in all key feeder markets.
