Job Title: Senior Manager SME Acquisition & Sales Enablement (SME Cards)

Purpose of the ProjectThe Senior Manager SME Acquisition & Sales Enablement will be responsible for driving end‑to‑end SME customer acquisition across all sales and servicing channels including Branch Banking Relationship Managers (RMs), Digital Channels, Contact Centre, Partnerships and Field Sales. The role will own the SME acquisition strategy, lead generation programs, awareness campaigns, sales activation initiatives, conversion optimisation and performance governance to accelerate SME customer acquisition, product penetration and portfolio growth.
The individual will serve as the central coordinator across business, marketing, digital, analytics, product, operations and sales teams to ensure a consistent and scalable acquisition engine that delivers sustained growth.
- SME Acquisition Strategy Develop and execute the bank’s SME acquisition strategy aligned to business growth objectives. Define annual and quarterly acquisition targets across channels. Identify priority customer segments, industries and geographic markets. Develop channel‑specific acquisition plans and growth roadmaps.
- Lead Generation & Demand Creation Design and manage lead generation programs across digital and physical channels. Build acquisition funnels leveraging Branch network, Relationship Managers, Digital Banking, Website and Landing Pages, social media, Contact Centre, Third‑Party Partnerships and Referral Programs. Establish lead sourcing, qualification, distribution and tracking frameworks. Drive continuous improvement of lead quality and conversion rates.
- Awareness Campaigns & Market Activation Develop and execute SME awareness campaigns to increase product visibility and market penetration. Partner with Marketing to launch Digital acquisition campaigns, MCC‑specific campaigns, SME events and roadshows, Content marketing initiatives, Email and CRM campaigns. Ensure alignment of campaign messaging across all customer touchpoints. Monitor campaign performance and optimise ROI.
- Sales Enablement & Channel Activation Develop acquisition playbooks for branches and RM teams. Conduct regular training and capability‑building sessions for sales channels. Drive channel engagement programs and sales contests. Create incentive programmes to improve acquisition productivity. Enable frontline teams with sales collateral, objection‑handling guides and value proposition messaging.
- Conversion & Funnel Optimisation Own the end‑to‑end conversion funnel from lead generation to account opening and product activation. Monitor conversion performance across all acquisition stages. Identify bottlenecks impacting lead conversion and onboarding. Partner with Operations, Risk, Product and Digital teams to improve turnaround times and customer experience. Implement initiatives to reduce application abandonment and increase approval rates.
- Performance Analytics & MIS Develop dashboards and management reporting for lead volumes, conversion rates and campaign ROI. Provide business insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Track acquisition performance against targets and take corrective action where required.
- Partnerships & Ecosystem Development Identify and develop partnerships with SME ecosystem players (fintechs, chambers of commerce, business associations) and digital platforms. Create referral and co‑marketing programmes to generate incremental SME leads. Evaluate new acquisition channels and partnership opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of banking experience in SME Banking, Retail Banking, Sales, Acquisition, Marketing or Business Development.
- Proven experience driving SME customer acquisition programmes.
- Strong experience managing multi‑channel acquisition strategies.
- Hands‑on experience with CRM lead management, campaign execution and sales performance management.
