To lead the day-to-day Used Vehicle Retail Sales operation by managing the sales team, executing the approved sales plan, achieving sales volume and profitability targets, supporting inventory performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in line with company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coach and develop Used Vehicle Sales Supervisors and Sales Executives.
  • Allocate sales targets and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve productivity.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and sales standards.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales volume targets.
  • Execute approved sales plans to support business growth objectives.
  • Monitor showroom traffic, enquiries, lead conversion and closing ratios.
  • Ensure sales opportunities are effectively managed from enquiry to vehicle delivery.
  • Approve sales transactions within delegated authority while protecting profitability.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions to achieve agreed targets.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor used vehicle inventory availability to support sales requirements.
  • Follow up inventory ageing and execute actions to reduce aged stock.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Used Sales and Vehicle Procurement to improve stock rotation.
  • Ensure vehicles are accurately priced, properly displayed and sales-ready.
  • Escalate inventory risks and ageing concerns with appropriate recommendations.
Customer Experience
  • Ensure a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry through vehicle handover.
  • Support the resolution of escalated customer complaints and complex negotiations.
  • Drive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) performance.
  • Ensure compliance with premium customer service standards.
Planning & Reporting
  • Prepare periodic sales and operational performance reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including sales volume, conversion rate, gross profit, inventory ageing, stock turn and CSI.
  • Recommend operational improvements based on performance analysis.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to maximize campaign effectiveness and lead generation.
  • Work closely with Finance, Sales Support and Vehicle Procurement to ensure smooth business operations.
Compensation & Incentives
  • Eligible for performance-based incentive in accordance with the approved incentive scheme.
  • Incentive linked to achievement of sales volume targets.
  • Incentive linked to gross profit performance.
  • Incentive linked to inventory ageing and stock turn performance.
  • Incentive linked to Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Management or a related discipline.
Experience
  • 7–10 years of automotive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in used vehicle retail operations is preferred.

  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and lead high-performing teams.
  • Sound commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of used vehicle retail operations and inventory management.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Management role based within the dealership showroom, involving regular interaction with customers, sales teams and cross-functional departments.
