Job Summary
The Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work across hotel facilities and equipment to ensure smooth and safe operations. The role supports the Engineering team in maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and guest comfort.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across hotel rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule.
- Ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Assist in installation of new equipment when required.
- Maintain maintenance records and report completed work.
- Follow hotel safety standards and procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with other engineering team members and departments.
- Support emergency repairs when needed.
- Technical Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in general maintenance or hotel engineering is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and plumbing.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals and drawings.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written at a basic level).
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Physically fit and able to perform hands‑on maintenance tasks.
- Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
