Elevator Technician

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proven experience in elevator installation and maintenance (typically 2–5+ years).

3-5 Years

To install, inspect, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and related lifting systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

• Carry out preventive maintenance for elevators and escalators on a scheduled basis.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults and perform necessary repairs.
• Test elevator systems to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, cables, control panels, and sensors.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors or suppliers when required.
• Conduct routine inspections and report any potential risks or required upgrades.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
