We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to support outdoor construction, infrastructure, and site development projects for one of our valued clients in Canada. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and equipment care. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating excavators and skid steers in fast‑paced outdoor work environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers
- Perform grading, trenching, leveling, and general site preparation
- Handle and transport construction materials including soil and gravel
- Support outdoor construction and infrastructure development activities
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Identify and report equipment or mechanical concerns promptly
- Adhere to all workplace safety procedures and operational standards
- Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related industries
- Strong understanding of job site safety and equipment operation protocols
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance experience preferred
- Heavy equipment certification or formal training considered an asset
- Familiarity with agricultural or industrial outdoor operations
- Mechanical troubleshooting or repair experience
- Strong work ethic and reliability
