Fire Alarm Technician

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
• Experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of fire alarm control panels and detection devices.

A Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, testing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with applicable safety codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications. • Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system testing.
• Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm control panels, detectors, notification devices, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with local fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients during installation and maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency service calls and resolve system issues promptly.
• Verify proper system operation after installation or repairs.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures while working on-site.
