Low Voltage Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems such as security, fire alarm, and access control systems, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to safety codes.
• Diagnose complex issues in low voltage systems using diagnostic tools and technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to install and configure low voltage systems according to project specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on low voltage systems, identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure system longevity and reliability.
• Install and maintain low‑voltage electrical systems and lighting circuits.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical school certificate in electrical technology preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) or equivalent.
• 8 years of hands‑on experience in the low voltage electrical field, focusing on installation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of industry‑specific regulations, codes, and safety standards.
