Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel generators including oil changes, filter replacements and fluid level checks to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel generator systems utilizing diagnostic tools and technical expertise.
Repair and replace faulty components such as fuel injectors, alternators, starters and control panels with precision and efficiency.
Conduct load bank testing to verify generator capacity and performance under various operating conditions.
Install and commission new diesel generator sets ensuring proper connection, configuration and initial startup.
Maintain detailed service records documenting all maintenance, repairs and parts used for accurate tracking and reporting.
Qualifications- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics is highly advantageous.
- Certification from recognized bodies such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or specific generator manufacturer training.
- Proven experience working with industrial or commercial power generation systems.
- Strong understanding of diesel engine principles, electrical systems and control panels.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and specialized tools for diesel engines and generators.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills to quickly identify root causes of issues.
- Maintains and repairs generator mechanical and electrical systems.
