Role
Purpose:
The Senior Technician is responsible for overseeing, executing, and optimizing advanced mechanical/electrical maintenance, machine setup, and operational troubleshooting. The role ensures maximum equipment uptime, minimizes production downtime, enforces strict industrial safety and quality standards, and provides technical guidance to junior operators and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Execution & Troubleshooting:
- Perform complex mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic repairs and adjustments on production machinery and utility systems.
- Diagnose complex machine faults, conduct root-cause analysis, and execute immediate corrective actions to restore operations.
- Calibrate equipment and machinery to ensure precision operational performance.

- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
- Execute planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules according to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect critical spare parts, components, and machinery regularly to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Identify wear-and-tear trends and recommend replacement parts or system upgrades.

- Operational Support & Machine Setup:
- Support production lines with equipment setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments.
- Monitor machine efficiency parameters to maintain high productivity and low waste/scrap rates.
- Assist engineers in commissioning new machinery, installations, or line modifications.

- Team Support & On-the-Job Guidance:
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to junior technicians and machine operators.
- Supervise daily shift tasks to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Safety, Housekeeping & Reporting:
- Maintain daily maintenance logs, spare parts usage, and work order completion reports.
- Enforce strict 5S industrial housekeeping standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols.
- Report critical equipment risks or spare parts shortages to direct management immediately.
Necessary Knowledge and
Experience:
- 3–5 years of practical hands‑on experience in industrial technical maintenance, machinery setups, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
- Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices (PPM & breakdown repairs).
- Proven ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Solid background in operating industrial workshop tools, measuring equipment, and site safety procedures (LOTO).
Education and Certification
Minimum Requirements:
- Technical Diploma (2–3 years) in Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Technology from accredited institutes/colleges (e.g., TVTC, HIWPT, Ewaa Institute, or equivalent accredited training centers).
