Job Responsibilities
Trace Systems is seeking an experienced Network Support Technician to support the USMTM CITS contract in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Network Support Technician installs, maintains, tests, documents, inspects, and restores structured cabling, fiber optic, copper, telecommunications rooms, racks, pathways, and other passive communications infrastructure supporting secure data, voice, and video services.
- Install, terminate, test, certify, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic telecommunications cabling.
- Install and maintain racks, patch panels, fiber distribution panels, cable managers, ladder racks, grounding, outlets, and related infrastructure.
- Perform fiber fusion and mechanical splicing, connector termination, cleaning, inspection, testing, and fault isolation.
- Use cable analyzers, OTDRs, optical power meters, multimeters, splicing equipment, and other industry-standard test tools.
- Maintain Red and Black signal-distribution systems and ensure installations meet Government requirements, BICSI practices, labeling standards, and approved specifications.
- Inspect infrastructure, correct discrepancies when practical, initiate work orders, and maintain inspection and continuity records.
- Troubleshoot physical-layer issues affecting network, voice, VTC, and mission communications services.
- Coordinate outside-plant work, local subcontractors, facility expansion, office reconfiguration, construction activities, and installation schedules.
- Create and update AutoCAD drawings, field markups, as-built records, rack elevations, cable schedules, circuit inventories, pathways, and telecommunications-room documentation.
- Coordinate with Network, Voice, VTC, Systems, Cybersecurity, facility personnel, and Government representatives during installations and restorations.
- Support office moves, network extensions, technology refresh, infrastructure modernization, surveys, inspections, audits, and technical assessments.
- Maintain accountability for tools, test equipment, materials, Government-furnished equipment, and consumable supplies.
- Comply with safety, host-nation, access-control, environmental, Red/Black separation, and secure-facility requirements.
- Support preventive maintenance, trouble calls, emergency restoration, and after-hours or on-call response.
