Fiber Optic Technician

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Technician to install, splice, test, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber-optic networks. The ideal candidate will have practical experience using fiber-splicing equipment and optical testing tools, including Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs).

• - Install, route, terminate, and maintain fiber-optic cables.
• - Perform fiber fusion splicing in accordance with approved technical standards.
• - Conduct OTDR, power-meter, continuity, and performance testing.
• - Identify, diagnose, and resolve fiber-optic faults.
• - Read and follow network diagrams and technical specifications.
• - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on fiber infrastructure.
• - Label cables, connections, and distribution points accurately.
• - Maintain testing records, service reports, and technical documentation.
• - Follow workplace health, safety, and quality procedures.

• - Technical diploma or vocational qualification in telecommunications, networking, electronics, or a related field.
• - Practical experience in fiber installation, fusion splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• - Hands-on experience using fusion splicers, OTDRs, and optical power meters.
• - Ability to interpret fiber layouts and technical diagrams.
• - Structured-cabling experience is an advantage.
• - Strong troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.
• - Candidates who are available to join immediately are preferred.
