Role Context

The Electrical Inspector will serve as a critical field-level quality and compliance resource, independently examining electrical installations as construction progresses. The position requires the ability to interpret design documentation, identify workmanship or regulatory deficiencies, verify corrective actions, and maintain auditable inspection records. Through disciplined site surveillance and electrical testing, the inspector will help prevent unsafe installations, reduce rework, and ensure completed systems satisfy contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect electrical installations, equipment, and associated systems throughout construction and installation activities.
  • Verify electrical works against approved drawings, specifications, Saudi Building Code requirements, SASO standards, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Review electrical drawings and technical documentation before installation to identify discrepancies, constructability concerns, and potential compliance issues.
  • Conduct systematic site inspections and confirm that workmanship and installed materials meet approved project requirements.
  • Use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment to evaluate installations and verify required system performance.
  • Record inspection and test results accurately and maintain traceable supporting documentation.
  • Identify code violations, defective workmanship, unsafe conditions, and deviations from approved electrical designs.
  • Issue clear observations and communicate required corrective measures to contractors and responsible project personnel.
  • Follow up on identified deficiencies and verify satisfactory closure before acceptance of affected works.
  • Monitor electrical contractors and site personnel for adherence to approved procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate inspection priorities with engineers, project managers, contractors, quality personnel, and construction teams.
  • Review relevant certifications, test documentation, inspection requests, and supporting compliance records.
  • Prepare concise technical inspection reports describing findings, compliance status, outstanding issues, and recommended actions.
  • Provide practical recommendations for improving electrical safety, installation quality, and system reliability.
  • Maintain organized records covering inspections, testing, deficiencies, approvals, certifications, and corrective actions.
  • Support resolution of electrical site issues without compromising regulatory, technical, or quality requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Saudi electrical regulations, codes, standards, and evolving industry practices.
  • Apply knowledge of Saudi Aramco or other industry-specific electrical standards where relevant to project requirements.
Ideal Profile

Candidates should have at least 10 years of professional experience in electrical inspection and site supervision, supported by comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, installation practices, testing methods, and construction quality requirements. A valid electrical inspection license or certification recognized in Saudi Arabia is required. Strong working knowledge of the Saudi Building Code, SASO standards, local electrical regulations, and relevant safety requirements is essential.
