The employee in this role is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance on desalination plants, monitoring equipment operation, and accurately diagnosing faults to ensure continued high-efficiency work. Tasks include overseeing the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, estimating required materials, and inspecting equipment after repairs.

• The mechanical diagrams of systems, devices, and mechanical equipment are tracked, and diagnostic procedures are identified.

• Diagnosing faults in mechanical systems and accurately identifying their causes.

• Estimate the quantity and cost of maintenance materials and supplies and monitor their availability.

• Follow up on fault repair operations and conduct a final inspection of equipment after maintenance.

• Implement preventive maintenance programs according to approved plans.

• Preparing, documenting, and maintaining work reports according to operational requirements.

• Two-year post-secondary diploma in mechanical engineering .

• Or a two-year post-secondary diploma in mechanical engineering technology .
