About the Position
Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Exciting Opportunity in Urgent Care

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an urgent care setting, where your expertise will directly impact community health. This vital role offers the chance to work independently, managing a diverse patient population including both adults and pediatrics, in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Render comprehensive urgent care services to patients aged 6 months and older, including minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation.

Manage high patient volumes independently, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Use Epic EMR for documentation and patient management after training.

Adhere to credentialing and certification requirements with timely completion.

Maintain a positive, professional rapport with patients, support staff, and supervising physicians.

Demonstrate proficiency in high-volume, fast-paced clinical environments while providing compassionate care.

Required Skills:

Minimum 12 months of clinical experience in urgent care or similar setting.

Valid Board Certification (BC), NCCPA certification or Family Nurse Practitioner certification.

Current BLS, DEA registration, and PA Cert or Family NP Cert.

Proven proficiency with Epic EMR system.

Ability to independently treat all patients, including pediatrics and adults.

Strong interpersonal soft skills to foster positive patient and team interactions.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work within a 60-mile radius of your residence supporting multiple locations.

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience handling minor procedures such as I&D and lac repairs.

Previous work in high-volume urgent care settings.

Prior experience with credentialing processes and EMR training.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (for NP) or Physician Assistant studies.

At least 1 year of relevant urgent care or primary care experience.

Certification in pediatric care is a plus.

Other Requirements:

Ability to participate in scheduled EMR and clinical onboarding sessions.

Must pass a clinical screening prior to onboarding.

Willingness to support multiple urgent care centers within the specified radius.

No call requirements; supervised care will be provided during locum shifts.

Travel and lodging are not reimbursed; mileage reimbursement available.
