Production Mechanic; Roanoke, Alabama,

Primary Objective

To troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment, including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, and replacing defective parts.

• Experienced with hand tools, power tools, metal working tools, ladders, buffers, gauges, and precision measuring instruments
• Able to work with machine parts, manuals, lubricants, and chemicals
• Can read and write standard English
• High School Diploma or GED required

• Follow all safety procedures for servicing plant equipment.
• Perform cutting and welding as needed, following proper hot work procedures.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
• Work as part of a team with limited supervision.
• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods.
• Operate in temperatures above 90°F and with equipment that can exceed 500°F.
• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Work in an industrial environment with background noise, dirt, water, humidity, and temperature variations.
• Be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and precarious places.
