Overview
The Home Health Manager manages the home health department for the Roanoke region. Responsibilities include overseeing patient care, human resources, operational performance, capital equipment, and budgets while collaborating with leadership to ensure system-wide standards of care and service excellence are met.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Clinical Leaders to implement daily services and supervise clinical care.
- Manage medical review and reimbursement appeals processes.
- Make home visits for patient supervision, including evaluations.
- Handle complex operational issues including legal and ethical matters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and payer reimbursement guidelines.
- Develop and maintain employee strategies, including orientation, in-service training, and continuing education.
- Mentor staff to grow clinical skills and coordinate educational activities based on patient needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor fiscal budgets and capital equipment requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, and evaluate performance improvement activities focused on patient safety and quality.
- Negotiate services through contractual agreements and maintain annual contract credentials.
- Respond to customers and referral source concerns and document care necessity for third‑party payors.
- Ensure accuracy of public informational materials and serve as a communication link among physicians, staff, and community programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, or a related field (or equivalent education).
- Three to five years’ experience in health care management, preferably with home health and/or hospice experience.
- Knowledge of regulations and accrediting standards for the State of Virginia and the Joint Commission.
- Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Virginia.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Analytical business acumen, integrity, innovation, teamwork, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and customer‑focused philosophy.
$98,155.20 - $ (not including benefits or pension plan).
