The Logistics Courier receives, stocks, issues, distributes, and ships supplies to hospitals, companies, and services of Carilion Clinic. The courier adheres to documentation and computerization requirements to ensure efficient and accurate operations, provides distribution and warehousing services to affiliates, and delivers precise logistical services to assigned areas. Responsibilities also include inspecting cartons for damages, completing required documentation, checking inventory items, recording quantities, comparing receipts to product specifications, signing receiving documents, reporting discrepancies to Purchasing, posting goods on appropriate documentation, entering data into the inventory system, completing warehouse requisitions, ensuring order accuracy, packing for delivery, maintaining delivery schedules, providing Par Level service to departments, completing all required documentation accurately, shipping freight daily via Fed Ex, UPS, and common carriers, and correctly handling returned goods and inventory updates.

  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience
  :
  Warehouse and material handling experience preferred.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
  :
  Valid Virginia driver’s license required with positive driving record.
• Minimum Qualifications
  :
  Excellent communication skills; computer skills; ability to perform in a continually changing environment; ability to perform responsibilities and handle heavy equipment of standard warehouse operations; must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
