Business Analyst (Finance)

Westlake, TX

Job Description:

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems
• A minimum of five years of related experience
• Proficiency in investment instruments, financial markets, performance measurement methodologies preferred
• Agile and JIRA experience preferred
• A self-starter and phenomenal teammate who is independent and can work with minimum supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
• Working in a team environment, collaborating openly with colleagues on shared items of work and communicating optimally with business partners to understand the business problem
• Involvement with business practitioners (Portfolio Managers, Senior Management, and Attribution Analysts) in helping to define analytical approaches to solve business requests
• Supporting agile team’s dedication to quality by defining and implementing tests that address the business needs
• Tracking and updating work in progress items in JIRA, by logging accurate hours spent on each task
• Participating in agile ceremonies such as daily stand up, refinement sessions and retrospectives.
